Purpose
To encourage personal growth, community development, global education and spiritual inspiration through volunteer service and cross-cultural learning experiences, inspirational gatherings and creative resources.
Nature of Work
To organize and facilitate short-term volunteer service and cross-cultural learning experiences in Central America. Program descriptions as follows: Volunteer Work, Spanish Instruction, and Sustainable Development in Costa Rica; Building Construction in Nicaragua; Children's School Project in Guatemala. Requirements
Desire and ability to serve and learn independently and with others. English language ability and willingness to learn Spanish. Student, professional or retired participants welcome. Single, married, or families welcome. Good health and physical stamina required.
Other Details
All inclusive 10-15 day programs in Central America cost between $2100-$2700 per person. Longer stays are custom designed and priced accordingly (per day costs diminish with time). Benefits to the participant include provision of comprehensive travel and facilitation services by experienced organizers resulting in participant's firsthand experience with personal growth, community development, global education, and spiritual inspiration.
Per person price includes return airfare, comprehensive insurance, taxes, service charges, ground transportation, accommodation, most meals, preparation resources, and program facilitation. Not included is the cost of a passport, foreign departure taxes, or personal excursion money. Prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to change and availability. Programs may be custom designed for individuals and groups.
