Experiential Learning Ecuadorian Programs (ELEP)


Mission Statement

The principal objectives of our internship or volunteer programs are:

  1. To enhance foreign language and intercultural skills through a structured experiential learning program.
  2. To promote the exchange and understanding between people of different countries and different cultural and social background.
  3. To provide a cultural, educational, professional, personal and international experience to interns and volunteers.
  4. To exchange professional knowledge and experience, breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers.

Purpose

Our purpose is to encourage intercultural exploration and understanding through our Volunteer, Internship and Spanish Courses Programs. ELEP Programs promote and provide exciting opportunities for language and cross-cultural immersion and invaluable practical experience in Ecuador for those who are looking for experience abroad and gain an international experience in a wide range of fields. An international internship or volunteer through ELEP can be a rewarding and challenging way to experience another culture and gain experience simultaneously.

Nature of Work

ELEP Programs provide exciting opportunities for language and cross-cultural immersion and valuable practical experience in Ecuador for who are looking for experience abroad and gain an international practical experience in a wide range of fields.

Placement

ELEP works throughout the four regions of Ecuador: Highlands, Coastal Lowlands, Amazon Region and the Galapagos Islands in a wide range of fields in collaboration of companies, organizations and communities.

Time Frame

ELEP arrange and administer year round short and long term volunteer and internship programs. All applications must be at least with six weeks prior starting the programs. Minimum time commitment is 4 weeks and the maximum commitment is 25 weeks.

No

Cost to Participate

All participants are to cover their own expenses. All our volunteer and internship programs are volunteer positions and not a job and therefore the participants should not expect for any remuneration or stipend.

What makes ELEP different?
ELEP works in cooperation with the best local and multinational, public and private Ecuadorian host companies, industries, institutions or NGOs and Ecuadorian communities in a wide range of fields for bachelors, college students, graduates students and professionals with the opportunity to gain practical hands on experience through our internship, volunteer, workcamp or Spanish courses programs.
