Global Volunteer Network

Purpose

The Global Volunteer Network's vision is to support the work of local community organizations in developing countries through the placement of international volunteers. We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers to help them achieve their goals.

Nature of Work

The nature of the work varies from country to country, but opportunities include volunteering in orphanages, community aid projects, teaching and environmental work.

Time Frame

GVN has programs available throughout the year. Volunteers can participate from 2 weeks to a year.

No

Requirements

Varies from program to program; minimum age of 18.

Other Details

Volunteers are required to pay for travel and insurance (recommended). Food and accommodation is covered by a program fee which they pay to the local organization.
