Nature of Work
L'ARCHE is an international ecumenical and inter-religious federation of communities whose focus is to create homes in which people with mental handicaps and those who help them live and work together. They grow to recognize their own gifts and share them with others. These homes are centers of family life for small groups ranging from four to 10 people. Life revolves around the activities of daily living. The house assistants create a nurturing atmosphere in which each person discovers a home for his or her heart.
