Safe Haven Shelter
Purpose
Provide short term emergency accommodation for youth 12-15 years of age. To assist in meeting the physical, social/emotional and spiritual needs of youth.
Nature of Work
We provide accommodation (co-ed) for up to 10 youth; we provide crisis counselling, life skills and social skills programs, conflict resolution, basic personal needs - food, shelter, clothing.
There are other agencies located in the community which we would make referrals to: counselling, community health, optometry, program for young mothers, drop in program.

Time Frame
Ongoing beginning dates and no minimum length of commitment.

Requirements
Experience working with youth. University or similar academic background. At least 19 years of age. (A police check and check with local children's aid will be conducted prior to any placement.)
