Mission Statement

We, the Sisters of St. Benedict of Winnipeg, Canada are monastic women who seek God in community through prayer and work according to the Rule of St. Benedict with the gospel as our guide.

Purpose

Our mission is to witness Jesus through contemplative living, hospitality and service in education, health care and spiritual formation.

Nature of Work

As monastic Benedictine women our main works are to build community, to pray the Liturgy of the Hours for the church and the world; to offer hospitality and extend peace; and to do what needs doing especially in the areas of learning that promote wholeness and holiness

We invite single, Catholic women over the age of 21 who desire to seek God with a supportive community and are able to engage in the ministries/works of the community - open to changes that promote personal and communal growth for the sake of God's kingdom.
