Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke

Sisters of St. Joseph of Pembroke

Mission Statement

Journeying in faith and bonded in love, we nurture life at all levels. We are called to create unity, reconciliation wherever we find ourselves, with an active and inclusive love.

Nature of Work

We go where the need is, and do whatever needs to be done. We are involved in parish ministry, counseling, adult education, working with the poor in Canada and in Peru, choir work, pro-life ministry, social justice work, ecology education and projects, intercessory prayer ministry, care of our sick and elderly, and meal preparation, to name some.

Time Frame

Ongoing

Remuneration

No

Requirements

To work in Peru, one needs to speak Spanish and to appreciate the culture, be old enough to be self-possessed and able to work by themselves once they adjust.

In Canada, besides specific skills and training needed for certain works, one must have an orientation towards being a unifier, a peacemaker.

Other Details

It is not likely that we could have a salary available. The most we could offer would be room and board.
