Mission Statement
YCI is a youth development organization dedicated to building the skills, experience and confidence of young people to effect positive change in their communities. YCI aspires to a world where youth can reach their full potential through active participation in the development of their communities.
Nature of Work
Small scale grassroots community development projects with the following areas of priority: HIV/AIDS, Community Infrastructure, Youth Skills Building, Women's Networking and Capacity Building

- Ethiopia
- Guyana
- Tanzania
- Vanuatu
Time Frame
Application deadlines vary. Projects range from 5 - 12 weeks.

Cost to Participate
$2,735 - $3,885
Requirements
Canadian citizens or landed immigrants, aged 18 - 35 yrs for volunteer positions.
For Staff positions you must be over 26 years with skills in leadership, youth and/or community development.
International applicants (except US citizens due to insurance problems) are also welcome!
Other Details
Participation fee: $2,735 to $3,885. YCI is a registered charity and participants can fundraise their fee.
